Philanthropy at Ethias

For more than a century, Ethias has placed people at the heart of everything it does. Today, this commitment is reflected in an ambitious sustainability strategy with a clear objective: making a positive contribution to society, both now and in the future.

In keeping with this vision, Ethias takes a structured approach to philanthropy and community engagement. By supporting projects with tangible social impact, we help strengthen local communities and solidarity, support the most vulnerable, protect natural resources and foster a more sustainable, inclusive and fairer society.

Our values

Our philanthropic activities are guided by clear principles:

Our areas of action

We support initiatives in four priority areas:

Solidarity
We support projects that tackle financial hardship, promote inclusion, encourage social cohesion and improve access to education.
Environment
We support initiatives that address climate change, biodiversity and the long-term protection of our environment.
Health
We support projects focused on prevention and health promotion, as well as scientific research.
Culture
We encourage initiatives that foster artistic creation and make culture more accessible to everyone.

How we provide support

Depending on the nature of the project and the priorities identified, Ethias can provide support in various forms: financial support, project calls, employee-led initiatives, in-kind support, volunteering and skills-based volunteering.

Call for projects

Each year, Ethias launches at least one call for projects centred on a specific theme linked to one of its philanthropic areas of action, or at the intersection of several of them.

You can submit your project online using our dedicated form. Each application is assessed against clearly defined criteria: alignment with our areas of action, respect for our values, project quality, expected impact and consistency with our funding framework.
