Ethias places great importance on building long-term partnerships with its suppliers.
Beyond the obvious notions of value for money, Ethias requires its suppliers to respect the principles of the International Labor Organization (ILO), including the formal exclusion of child labour and absolute respect for trade union rights. This commitment has been formalised in a detailed agreement that Ethias suppliers must accept and apply.
The procurement policy also assesses quality criteria in terms of:
- Environment, taking into account energy saving, recycling, use of recyclable materials and energy consumption;
- Social and Governance, taking into account compliance with laws and regulations, as well as actions to combat discrimination and harassment, or to promote diversity and business ethics.
